My system today...

So, as it stands, I have one system in my living room, that doubles right now as a AV & Music system. This is predominatley due to our room addition on the house being more in concept than in reality. This addition is set to be my dedicated audio room, but will likely end up a HT room and family room too.

My system as of 5/17/2007, with components actually in use:
Sources--
Pioneer DV-563 :: both CD transport & DVD player
Panasonic E81H :: SD DVR and TV Tuner (Antenna on roof)
LG 4200 :: HD DVR (Antenna on roof)
Squeezebox 2 :: hooked up to semi-dedicated server, which will be relocated in basement.
SB2 PSU :: my own creation, most recent creation as well...look for future blog to expound
Preamp--
Emotiva LPA1 :: Functions as DAC/Preamp/Prepro/etc currently...soon to be relegated to AV only duties
Amp--
Hypex UcD400 based DIY amp :: Dual mono supply. This was the easy version, meant as temporary amp till other 4 channels worth of UcD400 were complete.
PowerConditioner--
DIY creation featuring a ParMetal aluminum chassis with 5 duplexes on the back and a vintage voltmeter and ammeter on the front panel. Will have multi-Felix's in the very near future.
Speakers--
Modula MTM IV :: A wonderful design created by Jon Marsh over @ HTGuide.com. Look in the 'Mission DIY Possible' subforum.

In the works:
I intend this section to include only projects that are 'on the bench' sort of speak. Projects that have actually been started, but are not yet complete.
UcD400 mono blocks :: near completion, just needed some final placement and wiring of /gnd relay control. These amps are my attempt at statement versions. They include Jensen 4 pole caps, IXYS bridges, Plitron 500va transformers with electrostatic shielding, Bulgin iluminated vandal switches that control soft switch circuits for switch the amp in and out of standby, DIYCable softstarts all built into Anondized Research chassis.
Preamp :: This is an amalgamation of sorts. It includes two Seiden 6 position source selectors with switchable grounds, a 23 pos Seiden volume switch, Silk Audio 'supermalloy' TVC's and pending an addition of an all 6SN7 Aikido linestage. The first selector switches between up to 6 sources in the usual fashion.
The second switch adds a twist. It allows for direct bypass for two inputs, one intended for a source such as the Squeezebox using its own volume control, the second for HT bypass. [See above Emotiva pre/pro.] The switch also selects to have the TVC's control volume and also optionally to add the Aikido line stage to the mix (using the TVC's for vol.con.).
Arvo Pärt MKIII variants :: I have collected all the drivers to build a variation on the Arvo Pärt MKIII. This is also a creation of Jon Marsh and is a former statement speaker creation, before replaced with the Isiris. My version will differ with the use of SEAS W22's in place of the HiVi M8a's and the use of the MCM waveguide on the SEAS H1212 tweeter. I will be using the TC Audio TC2+ woofers, as that is what I acquired prior to Jon testing newer woofers.
At this time, the project has all the MDF cut and some pieces have been veneered, but a current plumbing and HVAC projects have taken over my woodworking space in the basement so it is in a painful stall.

Components not currently in use, but in possession:
DEQX PDC 2.6P/B :: the Balanced & Preamp version of the very powerful DSP/XO/EQ wonder tool
Lite Audio DAC60 :: soon to be my DAC in my system with the TVC preamp, when the TVC is finished
Sony SCD-XA777ES :: Currently resides on audio shelf collecting dust. It is in need of a good laser cleaning so that is digs as deep as it did when I first bought it. It used to be impervious to scratches and such. I think it is a cleaning away from regaining that again.
Crown K1 :: intended to power future IB sub. Currently dual Avalanche AV15" collect dust on driver shelf.
Behringer Feedback Destroyer :: Meant for EQ for above mentioned IB sub.
2 additional UcD400 modules :: will be used with DEQX for multiamping or in HT.
SAS Aurora Tuner :: waiting preamp completion.
Teres DIY TT :: needs to be setup again, but home renovations making too much dust.
>> Rega 300 arm with lots of tweaks/upgrades/rewiring
>> Dynavector 20XH HOMC cart
>> Hagerman Tech 1ofakind Bugle2 (super reg'd version of bugle).
CD-Pro2 Transport Kit needing to be build

more coming on projects being designed, parts acquired and soon to start, including PP 6C33C monoblocks, Karna monos, a 3way OB hi-eff speakers.

So it begins...

I had been meaning to create a blog for some time for two purposes. First, I wanted to be able to keep track of my thoughts through time, as I am always moving onto another idea before I have had time to test the first. I figure this way I can keep track of links and schematics that have seeded my ideas. Hopefully, as I gain a bit more experience with sketching programs and tubecad, I can use the blog to share with others as well.

Second, I am always getting asked what I am working on, what is my system now, etc. I figure with a blog I can share with many at once in a more complete manor.
